Ar Rahman and Ar Rahim are part of the 99 Asmaul Husna names of Allah SWT. Ar Rahman means Most Gracious or Compassionate, and Ar Rahim means Most Merciful. It is mentioned in the Qur'an that people who memorize Asmaul Husna will be guaranteed to enter heaven. Allah will also give a good reward for each of His servants who include Asmaul Husna in every prayer.
لِلّٰهِ الْاَسْمَاۤءُ الْحُسْنٰى ادْعُوْهُ اۖ ا الَّذِيْنَ لْحِدُوْنَ اَسْمَاۤىِٕهٖۗ ا انُوْا لُوْنَ
Meaning:
Allah has Asmaul Husna, so ask Him by mentioning Asmaul Husna and leave those who deviate from the names of the truth in (mentioning) Him. Later they will be rewarded for what they have done." (Surah Al A'raf: 180).
